The Garnsworth 420 Class rules |

A. |
2 or more hulls of any size, Hulls can be different sizes. |

B. |
Maximum height including a mast or masts, rudders and up to 2 keel(s) if fitted is 600 mm. |

C. |
Maximum beam (width) is 200 mm and with the boom(s) as far out as they can travel plus the rudder(s) set as desired, then the total width is 350 mm. |

D. |
Maximum overall length including rudder(s) is 420 mm. |

E. |
Maximum sail area including the mast and boom is a max 420 sq cms. (Example: 21cm x 40cm) |

F. |
Maximum weight is 200 gm. | |

G. |
No R/C or similar control equipment permitted except for 1 or 2 lines attached to the rear of the catamaran. These lines can be fishing lines for retrieval or minor direction changing / 'braking' of the boat's progress. |

H. |
No driven mechanical props and/or rubber bands etc permitted for propulsion assistance. |
The recommended control is a maximum of 2 light fishing lines attached to the aft (rear) of the catamaran. Suggested minimum length is 60 metres on a spool. Such lines may be restricted or cannot be used when more than 5 boats are racing at the same time, so tangling of the lines is avoided. |
